Here is the weimaraner I completed late last night. I am very happy with how he turned out. I painted him in acrylic on a 5"x3" plaque. He's ready to hang and listed right now in auction in my store DreamHorseGallery - JoyceB

All I Wanted for Christmas
Perhaps He's not quite the Fjord of my dreams... But he is the closest I can get for now! Henry was a gift from my children and from my husband: "Cloud Horse" by Jill Pinkwater, a portfolio for my work, a new palette, and a nice new set of brushes. I had a beautiful Christmas and have loved the extra time we were all able to spend together.
I had very little time for painting, but am trying to complete a new plaque. It's an acrylic on basswood of a weimaraner in profile Soon to be posted!

Lisa - I'm sorry I didn't get your message on WetCanvas until tonight!
Lisa Carney has a blog! Take a moment and check it out. She has her beautiful abstract, mixed media and digital pieces displayed in her online gallery as well.
If I were the jealous type, her work would be turning me all shades of green. As it is I admire her style greatly... and her hair color!! Enjoy - joyceb

I often wonder what my children will become when they are grown.
Lately I think Gillian may become a chef. She is always pretending to "took" in her play kitchen and with my pots and pans on the kitchen floor. She loves helping to do the dishes and dumping measuring cups full of various ingredients into mixing bowls while I am baking. Many a great cook started as a dish washer. Then again, perhaps she will make her career as a wife and mother. Cooking with love for her own family. Charles is still very enthusiastic about art. Painting, sculpting, drawing - he does it all. He loves to recreate the images from his favorite show and he's really into designing new Bionicle creations. Maybe he'll be an illustrator or even a toy designer... What better career than designing cool new toys all day! - JoyceB

Wahhhhh! I've caught my husband's cold. My throat is terribly sore. Hope I'm over it by the time my parents arrive from Oklahoma. It seems like we all get sick every Christmas. This year maybe we will all be getting better by Christmas!

Christmas is coming and my list of things to do is expanding daily. ACEO holiday cards for those on my list, a dozen other projects for family and friends, all the normal daily chores, trying to keep my online presence, family arriving to visit from out of state the week before Christmas, homeschooling... Lots on my plate.
